ACCREDITED BY THE AMERICAN CAMP ASSOCIATION

Camp provides a positive recreational and safe experience in the outdoors where group living responsibilities can be practiced and shared by campers and staff. An experience in independent living in a secured setting apart from family and/or primary care givers is obtained. Campers have the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills while fostering an appreciation of the outdoors.

ACHIEVA’s camp program provides an environment through which campers can gain insight into their abilities. We believe that the unique attributes of the rural camp setting can provide emotional, motivational, and social benefits. It is our objective to help care for and develop group living skills, maintain and enhance personal health, and develop self-worth and self-esteem by assuming a meaningful role in the total community.
