ACHIEVA holds several annual special events throughout the year including four fundraising events and an Annual Awards Event.  ACHIEVA is also proud to be a participant in a number of other fundraising events throughout the region each year.

Valley Brook Country Club

This event sells out every year so make your reservations early!  Join us at beautiful Valley Brook Country Club for an 18-hole play your own ball or scramble, and attend an amazing dinner afterward.  The event ends at 8:30 p.m.  All proceeds benefit children and adults with disabilities served by ACHIEVA.

ACHIEVA's Annual Awards of Excellence Event

Each year, ACHIEVA honors those individuals and organizations in the region whose work or volunteer efforts have made a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.  Awards are presented in the names of strong long time leaders including the Sattler Humanitarian Award, the Joe Ott Award and the Tony Leech Award.  Honorees exemplify ACHIEVA's vision of full inclusion in community life for people with disabilities and may be individuals, families, public servants, or organizations.  For a nomination form please contact Cathy Downs at cdowns@achieva.info.

The ACHIEVA Pittsburgh Promenade

Mark your calendar for the 2010 ACHIEVA Pittsburgh Promenade! Join us Saturday April 10, 2010 for a lively event featuring dinner, a silent auction, chinese auction and a live auction featuring a variety of items that, in the past have included items such as a framed/autographed Mario Lemieux jersey with certificate of authenticity, a framed/autographed Sidney Crosby jersey with certificate of authenticity and a Santonio Holmes autographed Steelers helmet with certificate of authenticity. 

In April 2009, more than 350 guests attended ACHIEVA’s annual Pittsburgh Promenade Auction at the Westin Convention Center Hotel in Pittsburgh. Auctioneer Fred Peters created some very lively bidding in the live auction that included trips to Kauai, Hawaii, Siesta Beach, Florida, Airline Tickets, a Ben Roethlisberger Autographed Super Bowl XLIII Football, an Autographed Sidney Crosby Jersey, Passes to Macy’s Thanksgiving Day P and a PNC Park Suite for a ballgame, just to name a few.

In addition to the live auction, guests had an opportunity to bid on great gift baskets in the silent auction as well as buy tickets for the $10,000 raffle drawn that evening.  Through the support and generosity of our guests, more than $140,000 was raised to provide services for our consumers.
