Adolescents > Family Support Family Support
Lifelong support and information is provided to families, caregivers, and self advocates. All staff members in the Family Support Department have children or family members with disabilities and are therefore able to address questions about raising a loved one with a disability.
“As most of you are aware, families with children/adults with special needs have so much to deal with on a daily basis—just knowing that we can pick up the phone or send an email and get an answer rather than trying to find the resources ourselves makes our lives much less complicated.”
Support includes:
- Guidance to address questions and concerns
- Networking opportunities for families to share experiences and support
- Referrals to community supports and services
- Educational opportunities
- Resources and information Click here for an extensive resource directory.
