ACHIEVA UNVEILS REDESIGNED WEBSITE

—new site is a resource for children and adults with disabilities and their families—

Pittsburgh, PAACHIEVA’s website, www.achieva.info, has a new look! Debuting in April, the new site—underwritten by National City—was designed to be more user friendly and to provide information about ACHIEVA’s services based on age, giving users quick access to the individualized services they need.

Immediately noticeable is the new layout with photos, designed with warm and inviting hues from the ACHIEVA color palette. The left side navigation provides a quick and easy way to access information about services, employment and other information including leadership bios, resources and giving options. The “What’s New” section on the home page is a fast link to the latest events, legislative issues and upcoming workshops.

“The site was developed with a self-advocate, parental or caregiver perspective in mind,” explained Chris Filippi, vice president of corporate development. “By using age as the basic organizing factor, people can easily find the services that they need.”

The website’s navigation also highlight’s the uniqueness of ACHIEVA’s offerings: ACHIEVA is the only local organization that provides support to those with disabilities throughout their entire lifespan.

ACHIEVA, formerly Arc Allegheny, is the largest nonprofit organization in western Pennsylvania serving adults and children with disabilities and their families. Founded in 1951, ACHIEVA supports nearly 7,000 children and adults with disabilities annually through advocacy, community services, education, special needs trust and family supports.ACHIEVA is committed to excellence in lifelong care and education for people with disabilities and their families.
