Our Providers

ACHIEVA’s strives to ensure the best care possible to individuals we support. To ensure the right provider is selected, the individual and the family meets with ACHIEVA Home Care before services begin. If after the initial service, either the family or provider feels it is not a good match, Home Care will search for another candidate. Providers are required to meet minimum state requirements. This includes criminal and child abuse clearances (Act 33/34), physical clearances, CPR, First Aid, Fire Safety and other training listed in the individual’s plan of care.

If you know someone interested in providing supports to an individual with disabilities, please contact Bernice Cook at 412-995-5000 ext. 505 or via email at bcook@achieva.info.  You may also find information on ACHIEVA’s employment page. Providers create their own work schedule and choose with whom they prefer to work and their work locations.

Families as Caregivers

Families have the opportunity to hire their friends, relatives, neighbors and/or siblings to provide sitter care, overnight respite care, and/or companion services. ACHIEVA Home Care becomes the Agency of Choice hiring the caregiver for the family, processing payroll, maintaining taxes and bills and ensuring training requirements are met.

For more information on the above topics, please contact Mary Haider at 412-995-5000 ext. 491 or Rochelle Tyler at ext. 476 or via email at mhaider@achieva.info or, rtyler@achieva.info.
