ACHIEVA is a qualified provider of Community Habilitation, Pre-Vocational Services, Traditional Work Services and Employment Services. We have five vocational facilities located in Pittsburgh's Strip District, Bridgeville, West Mifflin, Wilkinsburg and Greensburg. Community-based supports are currently being provided in nine counties throughout the greater Pittsburgh area. All vocational services are outcomes-based and tailored to the individual's needs and specific goals of its customers.
Community Habilitation (Adult Development Training): ACHIEVA's Customized Day Programs, located in the Strip District, West Mifflin and Greensburg, are designed to support a diverse group of individuals with disabilities. Within these three programs, a therapeutic approach is geared towards creating social, recreational and vocational opportunities. We strive to provide supports that are individualized, flexible and tailored to fit specific participant needs. All components of the program are geared towards assisting participants in attaining their personal outcomes.
Pre-Vocational Services (Facility-Based Employment): ACHIEVA's facility-based programs are available at our Strip District, Wilkinsburg, West Mifflin, Bridgeville and Greensburg locations. Participants focus on developing vocational skills in a habilitative environment. Supports include personal and work adjustment training designed to develop appropriate worker traits and teach an understanding of the work environment, work sampling, paid contract work and support groups that promote peer interaction and social development.
Transitional Work Services (Mobile Work Crew): Cleaning and janitorial crews are dispatched from our Strip District location led by a crew manager. Workers perform various tasks including: general office cleaning, building maintenance, carpet care and hard floor care. Most individuals receiving Transitional Work Services are supported in a 1:4 - 1:8 staffing ratio depending on the work being performed. Shifts are Monday through Friday afternoons, but some morning and weekend hours are available.
Employment Services (Supported Employment): ACHIEVA's Supported Employment Department has provided consumer-driven services for more than 20 years. We are dedicated to helping people with disabilities achieve their employment goals. ACHIEVA currently serves individuals in Allegheny, Butler, Beaver, Fayette, Greene, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland counties.

ACHIEVA's Vocational Supports Program operates five plants, located in both Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties, offering individuals with disabilities opportunities for facility-based job training. ACHIEVA also offers community-based training supports in eight counties.
While providing job training and supports to individuals with disabilities, ACHIEVA is proud to offer services and manufacturing assistance to local businesses. ACHIEVA Vocational Supports specializes in niche industries and in providing human resources to complement businesses' seasonal or overflow needs.
