The Arc of Beaver

Serving the community of Beaver since 1954, The Arc of Beaver is the primary advocacy organization for individuals with disabilities and their families. The Arc of Beaver joined the ACHIEVA family of organizations and merged into The Arc of Greater Pittsburgh, serving Allegheny and Beaver Counties in December 2006. Both organizations form a strong force addressing today’s needs and tomorrow’s challenges for individuals with disabilities and their families.

As a membership organization founded by local families to provide community-based education, services, and advocacy support, The Arc of Beaver has had a solid reputation in providing the following services:

• Camp and Leisure Activities
• Adult Protective Services
• Independent Monitoring for Quality Services
• Systems Advocacy
• Educational Advocacy
• Governmental Affairs
