Community-Based Assessments

What is a Community-Based Assessment?

A Community-Based Assessment (CBA) is an opportunity to explore career options at a place of business and “try on” an existing job or combination of work-related tasks.

How Does It Work?

An Achieva community employment specialist will arrange for the CBA. You will learn about the business and try jobs or tasks related to the business. The community employment specialist will stay with you during the entire assessment.

Achieva partners with a variety of industries for Community-Based Assesments. We aim to provide CBA's that meet the interests of the people we support. Such as:

  • Agriculture
  • Animal Shelters
  • Business Services
  • Cleaning & Janitorial
  • Colleges, Universities & Schools
  • County Government
  • Entertainment
  • Fitness
  • Foundations & Non-Profits
  • Hotels, Motels & Tourism
  • Manufacturing
  • Nursing Homes/Hospitals
  • Religious Organizations
  • Restaurants
