Achieva to Celebrate $15 million campaign at Annual Promenade with Honorary Chairs Bill and Debbie Demchak

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PITTSBURGH, PA  – Achieva, a leading non-profit dedicated to supporting people with disabilities, is set to hold its annual gala, the Pittsburgh Promenade, on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in the Grand Ballroom at The Westin Pittsburgh.

This year’s event, hosted by Honorary Chairs Bill and Debbie Demchak, will be an impressive celebration and the culminating event of the $15 million Beyond Boundaries Campaign, which was launched at last year’s Promenade. The campaign funded transformational new initiatives including a new program for children with complex medical needs, transportation solutions for people with disabilities, a center for supported decision making, and more. Members of the campaign committee include Bill Demchak, Carolyn Duronio, Achieva Board Chair Meghan Gannon Anderson, Kimberly Jackson, The Arc of Greater Pittsburgh Board Chair Tina Calabro, Chaz Kellem, David Morehouse, and Dan Onorato. For a full list, visit www.achieva.info/beyondboundaries

The evening will feature people who have benefited from three initiatives funded via the Beyond Boundaries Campaign:

  • Meet Emma, who worked with Achieva Advocacy to bring her son Conrad home after 16 months of hospitalization.

  • Meet Zach, who worked with Achieva’s Competitive Integrated Employment team and is now happily employed at Giant Eagle and was able to move out of his parent’s house into his own home.

  • Meet Robert, who has been employed at the Bridgeville Pallets and Packaging facility, which employs an integrated workforce of people with and without disabilities.

The theme of this year’s Promenade is “Bright Futures” - a nod to Beyond Boundaries’ vision of removing barriers, creating opportunities, and ensuring bright futures for all. Artwork for the event was created by Darian Johnson, a nationally-recognized artist from Achieva’s VaultArt Studio, whose work will be featured at the new Arts Landing opening in Pittsburgh’s Cultural District this spring. An original painting from Johnson will also be part of the Promenade’s silent auction.

The Pittsburgh Promenade is Achieva’s signature fundraising event. It brings together community leaders, corporate partners, supporters, families, and people Achieva supports for a meaningful evening of inclusion, opportunity, and community. Guests will enjoy a cocktail hour, a silent auction, a cash raffle, dinner, and a program. The evening will be emceed by WTAE anchor Elena LaQuatra.
