Achieva Launches "Impact Achieva" Online Giving Day on June 17-18, 2024

Join us in making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities!

Pittsburgh, PA  — Achieva, a leading organization dedicated to empowering people with disabilities, is excited to announce its annual online giving day, Impact Achieva, set to take place from June 17 to June 18, 2024. Unlike years past, this year’s event will span 1,951 minutes in honor of the year Achieva was founded (1951), which means it will commence on Monday at 2:00 p.m. and run through Tuesday until 10:31 pm. All proceeds will support people with disabilities in the form of individual advocacy services and family support.

Event Details:

  • Dates: June 17 - June 18, 2024
  • Duration: 1,951 minutes (approximately 32.5 hours)
  • Focus: Advocacy and family support for people with disabilities

The Power of Advocacy

Achieva’s no-cost advocacy efforts have been at the heart of our organization since its inception. Here’s how your support can make a significant impact:
  1. Building Lifelong Connections: Our advocates work tirelessly to forge lasting relationships, provide critical support, navigate complex systems, and access essential services.
  2. Empowering Voices: Advocacy at Achieva ensures that people with disabilities have their voices heard and their rights protected. We empower them to be active participants in decisions that affect their lives.
  3. Navigating Complex Systems: Achieva’s advocates provide guidance and support in navigating the often complicated and overwhelming government systems of care and services.

Double Your Impact

We are thrilled to announce that thanks to a generous donation from Achieva Trustee Rob McDowell, the first $10,000 in gifts will be matched dollar for dollar during this year’s giving day, doubling the impact of each gift.

A Message from Our CEO

“Our community’s support during Impact Achieva is crucial in helping us provide vital services and opportunities for individuals with disabilities,” said Steve Suroviec, CEO of Achieva. “With every donation, we move closer to creating a world where people with disabilities are fully included and empowered to lead a life of personal significance. Together, we can make a profound impact.”
