Christy and Sierra Wechtenhiser

Your generosity helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities

DOUBLE THE IMPACT!

Thanks to a generous donation from Achieva Trustee Rob McDowell, we’re thrilled to announce a $10,000 match for this year's Giving Day. The first $10,000 donated will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, doubling the impact of your generosity!

In April, sisters Christy and Sierra Wechtenhiser had the opportunity to meet with Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro to discuss the proposed funding in the Governor’s 2024-25 budget, which aims to increase access and support for home and community-based services. Their advocacy efforts centered around crucial issues such as increasinåg wages for direct support professionals (DSPs) and ending Pennsylvania’s emergency waiting list for intellectual disabilities and autism (ID/A) services.

Your contributions directly support people like Christy and Sierra to live their best lives and be active in their community. Whether it is being a self-advocate for policy changes, or finding a job they enjoy, your generosity helps people with disabilities make those choices for themselves.
