Representatives from PA’s Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, Office of Developmental Programs, and Department of Education pose on stage after winning the Innovations in Strategic Transformation Award.

At the 2025 Charting the LifeCourse Showcase in Kansas City, Missouri, the Pennsylvania Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), Office of Developmental Programs (ODP), and Department of Education (PDE) were honored with the Innovations in Strategic Development Award. This recognition highlights their collaborative efforts in the InVEST and Pathways to Partnership grants, which aim to promote a unified, person-centered planning approach across various systems and life domains.

These initiatives have been instrumental in fostering a common language and shared vision, enabling more cohesive support for individuals with disabilities. By integrating the Charting the LifeCourse framework, these agencies have enhanced cross-system collaboration, ensuring that services are aligned and responsive to the unique needs and goals of each person.

Achieva is proud to not only be one of the early adopters of person-centered planning through the LifeCourse Framework in Pennsylvania, but also to be one of only two organizations implementing InVEST in Pennsylvania, promoting competitive-integrated employment for people with disabilities and expanding its Business Services program at the same time.

In addition to job placement, we provide essential support including benefits counseling and ensuring that people with disabilities can maintain critical government assistance while they work.

Expanding this program creates additional job opportunities for people with disabilities while helping businesses meet their talent needs with qualified candidates. These improvements include adjusting job specifications, enhancing recruitment strategies, refining interview and onboarding practices, and improving job training to better support qualified people with disabilities.
