Each December, ACHIEVA honors the people and businesses who share its vision, aspiring for a community where disability is a distinction that makes no difference. On December 11th, ACHIEVA will host its annual Awards of Excellence at the Sheraton, Station Square. The awards ceremony begins at 6 p.m.

David and Cecil Rosenthal, inseparable brothers known for their love for life, were among those taken too soon during the tragedy at Pittsburgh's Tree of Life Synagogue. Family and friends referred to David and Cecil as 'the boys' because of their innocent, kind-hearted nature.

To know David and Cecil Rosenthal was to know kindness, laughter and joy. They were tragically taken from us, too soon, at the Tree of Life Synagogue. Cecil was set to begin working at family-owned Iron City Workplace Services.

ACHIEVA is holding a trivia night fundraiser on October 16th from 6:30pm - 8:30pm at Foxtail in the South Side. Musical act Marc Reisman and the Strong Way Band will be performing. ACHIEVA provides services and advocacy for people with disabilities and their families.
